Travel: Ogunquit Sampler
Weekend workshop in Maine

Spring and Fall Ogunquit Workshops
A Weekend of Painting along the Maine Coastline
Less than two hours away from Boston is the beautiful town of Ogunquit, Maine. Nestled in a serene and captivating location by the ocean, this seaside town is of incomparable beauty. The surrounding towns of Kittery, York, Wells and Kennebunkport also offer many painting possibilities. Experience both a peaceful retreat and an exciting painting experience.
In the past these painting workshops have been led by Boston master artist and teacher William St. George.
Recommended lodging at the centrally located Colonial Inn: 1-800-233-5191, 207-646-5191
The Inn offers basic rooms as well as efficiencies equipped with kitchenettes. There is a pool, a reception room with piano, a breakfast room and a porch. It is walking distance to the town center and to the beautiful “Marginal Way” where one can enjoy a breath taking evening stroll.
Meals and Carpooling
Please know that there are no scheduled group meals. There are many restaurants within walking distance from the inn and you will be able to easily make your own arrangements. I recommend you bring a cooler, pack your lunch and spend more time painting. There is a terrific sandwich shop nearby as well as a grocery store that sells prepared foods and deli sandwiches to order. The inn will provide you with plenty of ice. In order to minimize potential parking challenges, we typically arrange carpooling to the designated painting sites.
