Artist's Statement
The themes in my paintings are not intended to report visual accuracy nor to make grandiose statements or convey obscure abstractions. My attempt is rather to capture a humble moment and by celebrating the beauty in what might appear ordinary, I also strive to evoke a certain mystique, invite the viewer to feel the energy of a mood and engage a sense of hope. Like music, painting is for me an emotional language that is uniquely expressive and direct; moreover, it is a privileged opportunity to reach a rare vision of freedom and serenity when all turbulent times can be suspended.
My work has been exhibited regularly and is presently represented by the St. George Gallery in Boston. For further information please go to "Events and Exhibitions".
